Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen producer Lorenzo di Bonaventure has acquired the screen rights to Joey Aucoin's upcoming comic book series Lions, Tigers, and Bears. According to Variety, the film will be produced through Paramount Pictures.

The film will be told through the eyes of an adult reminiscing about his childhood. The story revolves around a team of stuffed animals that come to life at night and engage in bedroom warfare. Lions, Tigers, and Bears will be live action with a mix of CG effects.

The fantasy tale centers on a young boy whose stuffed animals come to life in middle of the night to protect him from a group of monsters called the Beasties and the further adventures of the boy as he travels through the stuffed-animal kingdom.

Mike Bullock's comic does not have an adult lead character, but the film version could add one, with an adult version of the boy returning to and reflecting on his childhood home.

The film does not have a set start date at this time. A director is currently being sought for the project.
