Lori Loughlin will be released from prison in time to celebrate Christmas with her family. The Full House actress turned herself in last week in order to serve her two-month term for her involvement in the college admissions scandal. Loughlin was sentenced back in August to two months in prison, two years of probation, and 100 hours of community service. She was also ordered to pay a fine of $150,000. After starring in a number of Hallmark movies over the years, Loughlin could be getting her own real-life version of one of their holiday tales, thanks to her release date falling on a weekend.

Lori Loughlin was originally expected to serve her time until December 27th. However, that date is on a Sunday and an inmate whose release date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, gets released on the preceding weekday, which would be Friday, December 25th for Loughlin. However, Christmas Day is a holiday too, so Loughlin could end up getting released on Christmas Eve, which leads one to believe that her surrender date was carefully chosen like it was an episode right out of Fuller House.

The Full House actress turned herself into the FCI-Dublin in California to begin her prison sentence 2 weeks early for her role in the college admissions scandal. When looking at the timing, Lori Loughlin is shaving at least 2 days off of her sentence, with a possible 3rd, which is big for anybody serving time behind bars. Had she waited, her release date would not have been until after the new year. Loughlin's husband, Mossimo Giannulli, was also sentenced back in August, but he will serve 5 months in prison.

As of this writing, Mossimo Giannulli has not turned himself in. He reportedly refused to turn himself in early with Loughlin, though it is unclear why. 5 months is significantly longer than the 2 months that his wife has to do, but they could all get shortened with the public health crisis still raging on and continuing to get worse. There is a chance that Loughlin could be released even earlier if the prison has a substantial uptick in cases. As it stands, the actress can't even have visitors, which includes her family, due to the strict safety protocols in place.

Actress Felicity Huffman was also caught up in the college admission scandal, though she plead guilty early on and only had to serve two weeks in prison. Like Lori Loughlin, her release date was set for a weekend and she only ended up serving 11 out of her original 14 days. Huffman has since paid off all fines and completed all of her community service, which makes her completely free, while Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are at the very beginning of their sentences. TMZ was the first to report on Lori Loughlin getting released from prison early to celebrate the holidays with her family.
