Lorraine Bracco has landed a starring role in the Lifetime Television's drama pilot Long Island Confidential, according to Variety.

In her first series role since The Sopranos wrapped production earlier this year, Bracco will play Nora, the mom of series lead Alison Elliott. Elliott plays a female detective juggling family and career.

Also cast: Jeffrey Pierce, who will play Mike Jr.

Guy Bee is directing.

Bracco played Dr. Melfi on The Sopranos from 1999 until the show signed off last spring.
