Buena Vista Home Entertainment's Season 2 set of Lost debuted at No. 1 on the national DVD sales chart for the week ending Sept. 10, beating Universal Studios' acclaimed docudrama United 93, which came in at No. 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Lost" is believed to be only the second TV-DVD set to snag the top spot on VideoScan's First Alert chart in its first week in stores. In May 2005, Paramount's Chappelle's Show: Season 2 Uncensored debuted at No. 1, with first-day sales pegged by the studio at nearly 500,000 copies. Buena Vista's Season 1 set of Lost, released in September 2005, bowed at No. 2.

United 93 did take the top spot on Home Media Retailing's video rental chart its first week in stores, with estimated rental revenue of $8.3 million, or more than a quarter of its boxoffice gross of $31.5 million.

Only three other new releases made it onto the First Alert top 20 their first week in stores, lead by another TV-DVD set, Warner's Supernatural -- The Complete First Season, which entered the chart at No. 12.
