It seems that Lost is coming back sooner than originally planned. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has set Wednesday, January 21 for the Season 5 premiere of Lost.

The premiere will air at 9 PM ET on the 21st and will be preceeded by an hour-long clip show at 8 PM ET. The show is regularly returning to its 9 PM Wednesday time slot. The show's fourth season aired on Thursday nights.

The Wednesday 9 PM slot is currently occupied by Private Practice, which was recently picked up, and it isn't clear where the series will move when Lost returns.
