Lost, ABC’s massive survival drama of the 2000s, has been featured on countless “best of” lists since its debut in 2004 and has received over 250 industry awards nominations, with 59 wins, including Emmys, Golden Globes, the Writers and Directors Guilds of America awards, and more. What began as a “simple” survival narrative after a plane crash-landed on a deserted island, Lost unfolded an intricate web of storylines that crossed oceans and timelines over six seasons, and grew a cult following. With elements of drama, romance, suspense, science fiction, supernaturalism, and mythology, there was something for everyone to enjoy on Lost.

Due to its large cast, complex and long-running plotlines, and the extensive backstory provided for every character in the ensemble, viewers became extremely invested in their favorite cast members. It would be nearly impossible to keep up with all the new projects the cast of Lost has been busy with in the years since the series ended, but there have been some prominent appearances recently, such as Naveen Andrews’ significant role in the Hulu miniseries The Dropout, about Theranos scam artist Elizabeth Holmes, or Josh Holloway’s new recurring role on the widely popular Yellowstone. If you’re feeling particularly nostalgic for the beloved losties, we’ve got some great options to fill that void in your heart. Here are nine shows featuring former Lost cast members that you can watch right now.

9 From (2022 - TBD)

Harold Perrineau in From
Epix

Michael (Harold Perrineau) was one of the original crash survivors on Lost, who was traveling with his estranged son Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), the only child who was part of the main cast. The love he had for his son was Michael’s primary motivation for everything he did on the island, even when it pushed him towards violence, but he often struggled to connect with Walt. He was well-meaning, but suffered from self-loathing and was never truly able to forgive himself for his mistakes.

From is a recent sci-fi horror show from Lost executive producer Jeff Pinkner that premiered on Epix in February. It follows inhabitants of a mysterious small town that physically traps anyone who happens to enter it. Some citizens try to escape and others put down roots, but they all have to protect themselves from murderous creatures that surround the area. Perrineau, with expert emotionality, plays Sheriff Boyd Stevens who acts as a leader-of-sorts for one faction of the community. Full of gore and suspense, From is a good option for Lost fans looking for a thrilling replacement to the infamous Smoke Monster.

8 The Dropout (2022)

Naveen Andrews and Amanda Seyfried in The Dropout
Hulu

Although all Lost characters were forced to come to terms with their pre-island pasts to some extent, Sayid (Naveen Andrews) had a particularly difficult time reconciling his actions as a former torturer with the Iraqi Republican Guard. This was especially trying for him when faced with the judgment of other survivors, like Sawyer. However, as an adept leader and technically skilled, Sayid became an invaluable member of the camp as they attempted to adjust to life on the island and find a way home.

Andrews has a lead role on the new Hulu miniseries The Dropout, which follows real-life scam artist Elizabeth Holmes (played excellently by Amanda Seyfried), the founder of biotech company Theranos. Andrews takes on the role of Sunny Balwani, Holmes’ (much older) partner in love and fraud. The Dropout is a must-watch for anyone interested in other recent scam-centered series like Inventing Anna or WeCrashed, but also for anyone that has missed seeing Andrews try to puzzle out a solution to an impossible problem.

7 Goliath (2016-2021)

Tania Raymonde in Goliath
Amazon Studios

Alex (Tania Raymonde) was a particularly interesting character that appeared on Lost, as she lived her entire life on the Island and had little to no knowledge of the real world. She was the daughter of The Others’ leader Ben Linus (who we later find out stole her as a baby from a shipwreck survivor). Though she was raised as an Other, Alex grew to resent her father and attempted to help the survivors fight against his tyranny.

Raymonde joined the cast of the Amazon legal drama Goliath in 2016. She played a sex worker named Brittany Gold who also works as a legal assistant to the lead role, attorney Billy McBride (Billy Bob Thornton). Both characters have exceptionally brilliant minds and the two share a complicated emotional connection. Harold Perrineau also appeared in 6 episodes as Judge Rosten Keller. This is a great watch for those interested in seeing how much stronger Raymonde’s acting has gotten since her time on Lost as a teenager.

6 The 100 (2014-2020)

Henry Ian Cusick in The 100
CBS

Henry Ian Cusick played Desmond on Lost, first introduced as the isolated and captive button-pusher the survivors discover in an underground hatch. He eventually became a helpful and involved member of the camp, and later suffered from psychic premonitions. He was the love interest of Penny (Sonya Walger), daughter of Ben’s rival Charles Widmore (Alan Dale), and played an integral part in the events that led up to the polarizing series finale.

In 2014, Cusick found himself on post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama The 100, which follows a group of people returning to earth from the space habitat they’d been living on since they escaped a nuclear disaster on Earth 97 years prior. He played character Marcus Kane, who is a senior council member on the space habitat, the Ark, and attempts to establish peace between the “Sky People” and the “Grounders,” after returning to Earth. The 100 is another great dystopian option for those who loved the tension between the crash survivors and The Others on Lost.

5 Hawaii Five-0 (2010-2020)

Jorge Garcia and Daniel Dae Kim in Hawaii Five-0
CBS

Both Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) and Hurley (Jorge Garcia) were original passengers of Oceanic Flight 815, in the Lost universe. Jin was a well-meaning but troubled Korean man who landed on the island with his wife Sun and also had to contend with a language barrier. Hurley played the happy-go-lucky goofball, who became a quick fan favorite with his slightly out-of-touch personality and quippy one-liners. If you miss watching these two characters navigate their unlikely friendship on a tropical island, you’ll want to strap in for a ride down memory lane with Hawaii Five-0.

Hawaii Five-0 is a light police procedural set on the beaches of Honolulu, which follows a specialized task force that operated with little-to-no oversight. Daniel Dae Kim was a member of the original ensemble cast, playing the highly-decorated Detective Chin Ho Kelly. Jorge Garcia played tech-averse conspiracy theorist Jerry Ortega who joins the team as a “consultant” in later seasons. You can also spot Kim and Garcia on a few crossover episodes with other CBS shows NCIS: Los Angeles and MacGyver. Several other Lost cast members have had guest appearances on Hawaii Five-0 as well, including Terry O’Quinn (Locke), Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond), Cynthia Watros (Libby), Tania Raymonde (Alex), and Sam Anderson (Bernard) – so tune into those episodes for a serious island reunion.

4 Once Upon a Time (2011-2019)

Emilie de Ravin in Once Upon a Time
ABC

When Lost first premiered, many eyes were on Emilie de Ravin’s character Claire, waiting to see what the fate of the only pregnant plane crash survivor would be. She began a sweet romantic friendship with fellow survivor Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) and eventually gave birth to her son Aaron. Though her time on the island was turbulent and had a serious detrimental effect on her mental health, Claire proved she was nothing if not a fighter.

Once Upon a Time is a fantasy adventure series that ran for seven seasons on ABC whose co-creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz were also writers on Lost. The show portrays two intertwined storylines at once: one that follows the citizens of a small town called Storybrooke, and another that features the same characters backstories as fairy tale characters. Emilie de Ravin played Belle, of Beauty and the Beast, and the show features her relationship with Mr. Gold (an amalgamation of Rumplestiltskin and the Beast, played by Robert Carlyle).

Other ex-losties that also pop up on Once Upon a Time include Elizabeth Mitchell as Ingrid (the Snow Queen), and Jorge Garcia, who plays Anton (the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk). Naveen Andrews also starred as Jafar in the spinoff Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. This franchise is perfect for viewers who enjoyed the more mythological elements of Lost.

3 Colony (2016-2018)

Josh Holloway in Colony
NBCUniversal

Lost’s Sawyer (Josh Holloway) was the epitome of the “bad boy with a heart of gold” – a long-haired conman with a southern drawl and sharp tongue who quickly won the hearts of viewers. Chock-full of rebellion, he wasn’t afraid to pick a fight or pick up a gun. And don’t even think about touching his stuff. As one-third of the infamous love triangle with Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Jack (Matthew Fox), Sawyer was a key part of the Lost narrative.

After landing the lead role on CBS cyber-drama Intelligence, which was subsequently canceled after one season, Holloway was called on by Lost showrunner Carlton Cuse for a new show: the dystopian sci-fi drama Colony. Set in a military-occupied Los Angeles, Holloway played Will Bowman, an ex-Army Ranger and FBI agent who desperately tries to protect his family from a robotic alien race that has infiltrated the city. Colony only ran for three seasons, but is a great option for anyone looking to recreate the dystopian survival vibes of the early seasons of Lost.

2 Person of Interest (2011-2016)

Michael Emerson in Person of Interest
Warner Bros. Television

If you had to choose an actor to perfectly embody the calm insidiousness of Lost’s Ben Linus, Michael Emerson was the guy to do it. Ben, leader of The Others, was one of the show’s most complex characters who masterfully manipulated anyone he came into contact with, on or off the island. It’s fitting that Emerson then took on the equally mysterious lead role on CBS’s sci-fi crime drama Person of Interest — only this time his secrets are used for the good of the public instead of his own ends.

Person of Interest ran for five seasons and focused on intensely private tech billionaire Harold Finch (Emerson) who has created a computer program that predicts terrorist acts and identifies their perpetrators. He works with U.S. Special Forces soldier and CIA operative John Reese (Jim Caviezel), using data from “The Machine” to try and prevent these attacks from happening. What began as more of a police procedural transformed into a nuanced character study and fascinating exploration of issues relating to privacy, technology, and morality.

Other former Lost cost members with guest appearances on Person of Interest include Ken Leung (Miles), Nestor Carbonell (Richard), and Mark Pellegrino (Jacob). If you find yourself missing Michael Emerson’s superb acting, this show is the one for you.

1 Revolution (2012-2014)

Elizabeth Mitchell in Revolution
Warner Bros. Television

Juliet Burke (Elizabeth Mitchell) was a doctor on Lost who was recruited by Ben in an attempt to solve the mysterious fertility issues on the island. However, she abandoned The Others in favor of joining the plane crash survivors, where she was met with resistance by nearly everyone except for Jack. Later, after landing in 1974 due to a complex time jump, she began a relationship with Sawyer, and they spent three years together as part of the DHARMA initiative.

Revolution (based on the DC Comics series of the same name) was another post-apocalyptic sci-fi series from Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams, which ran for two seasons on NBC. The show was set in 2027, 15-years after an event called “The Blackout,” in which all electricity on Earth was disabled. Mitchell played Rachel Matheson, mother to the strong-willed Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos), who is held captive by the President of the post-blackout Monroe Republic and tasked with restoring power.

Mark Pellegrino from Lost also had a short 4-episode arc in Revolution as militia captain Jeremy Baker. If you’re itching to see a more hardcore version of Mitchell than the soft-spoken role she played as Juliet, this is the show you want to watch.
