Though many of us hate to admit it, most reality TV can be really entertaining. From following the lifestyles of the Kardashian and Jenner clan to critiquing chefs through the screen with Gordon Ramsay, there is something about knowing these events are happening to real people that makes the genre so addicting. Reality TV seems to have no boundaries as long as the content is relevant and entertaining. With our ever-changing society and the way more people are meeting online before meeting face-to-face, an idea was formed, and a new reality show was created.

In 2020, Netflix released a unique binge-worthy reality series, Love is Blind. The premise of the show is that single men and women date one another, form connections, and potentially propose all without having seen one another. They meet in "pods" that are separated by an opaque glass wall, and they get to know one another for several days. If things go well between a couple, a proposal happens, and the two get to physically meet and go on a vacation to get to know one another before their wedding day.

Season 4 of Love is Blind finally wrapped up with the reunion episode, but fans were left wanting more. Season 4 had the most drama with unsupporting friends, couples stay together even though everyone at home was screaming for them to end things, and several individuals show that they are two-faced. Check out the conversations and actions fans wanted from the Love is Blind season 4 reunion.

New Hosts Are Needed

Love Is Blind TV Show
Netflix

Nick and Vanessa Lachey have hosted the dating reality show since the beginning, but fans are starting to tire from their narrative. Vanessa holds most of the conversations and throws in side commentary, and Nick typically redirects and transitions between couples speaking. During the fourth season's reunion episode, the conversations and topics felt awkward due to the Lacheys asking questions about touchy subjects and then quickly moving on to the next talking point. Vanessa made several jokes that earned her several side-eyes from those on stage rather than applause from the audience. Couples looked uncomfortable when questions were directed their way, and hundreds of fans took their concerns to social media.

Given that both hosts mentioned how they can never truly feel what the couples went through in the pods, it may benefit the show to have their first ever Love is Blind success story, Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, take over. They have a better understanding of the edits pushing narratives and the hesitant feelings about the social experiment as a whole.

Jackie and Josh Should Have Been Present

Love is Blind - Jackie and Josh (1)
Netflix

While Jackie was far from being a favorite, fans were angry that she did not hold herself accountable and come to the reunion. For several episodes, audiences across the nation watched her explode on Marshall, demean his character, and leave him without proper closure — she kept the engagement ring even though he politely asked for it back. After the toxic relationship came to a close, she turned around and began dating a different man from the pods, Josh. A year has since passed, and the two are still together.

On stage, during the reunion, Vanessa Lachey was proud to announce that she had previously spoken with the couple via Zoom. She directed several relevant questions towards Jackie, but her and Josh's answers created more confusion than clarity. They both made accusations such as what was the final straw between her and Marshall and why Jackie believes Marshall wanted the ring back. Unfortunately, fans have to simply accept their reasons due to the couple not being present to engage in a full discussion. By not showing up to the reunion to give details about what exactly took place, the fans felt robbed.

Diving into Micah's Manipulation

Micah - Love is Blind
Netflix

During the reunion, Micah was asked why she had Paul answer first when it came to saying "I do." She defended herself by saying she wanted to know that Paul was choosing her for himself rather than saying "yes" to prevent embarrassment on her end. Though her rationale still does not sit well with fans, there are other situations that should have been addressed during the episode. For instance, Micah's behavior in the women's lounge.

Before Micah and Paul had even met, she was a bit of a mean girl. She and Irina would laugh and mock other women who were essentially having their hearts broken. Micah went as far to tell Irina to eavesdrop on a woman who had been "dumped" by Paul. Since the couples were able to watch the fourth season before attending the reunion episode, the Lacheys should have asked Paul what he thought of Micah's rude and demeaning behavior towards others. It seems like she was able to manipulate and spin stories, but her actions in the lounge is hard to justify.

Shelby and Irina Should Have Met

There is a saying about someone being a reflection of the company they keep, and that proves true when it comes to Micah. Irina quickly became Micah's best friend in the pods, and she proved herself to be a mean girl and overall rude individual while leading her former fiancé, Zack, on in Mexico. When all the couples (except Zack and Irina) went back to their normal lives and finally got to introduce their significant others to friends and family, Micah's real best friend, Shelby, was judgmental and harsh towards Paul.

Vanessa briefly mentioned Shelby during the reunion, but fans wanted the snarky best friend to appear on stage and justify her laugher during Micah's most vulnerable and heartbreaking moment. Irina and Shelby have more in common than their status in Micah's life. They both give off a mean-girl energy that results in rude commentary and a lot of drama. During the reunion, Irina was able to justify her reasons for continuing on with the show, and she said she privately apologized to the women whom she mocked. Shelby's rude behavior, however, is still inexcusable to fans.
