1 Spartacus

Lucy Lawless in Spartacus
DeKnight Productions and Starz Originals

Although Xena is hard to beat, the character of Lucretia in the hit Starz television series, Spartacus, takes the top spot. Lawless depicts this vindictive character in Blood and Sand, Gods of the Arena, and Vengeance. As the wife of Batiatus, who owns the gladiator training facility known as a ludus, she very quickly establishes her dominance over the house. Although she plays the doting wife very well, her underlying motives are perfectly masked. Only revealed in secrecy to certain female characters, Lucretia is very good at climbing the social ladder discretely. She even convinces other Romans that she is a prophetess of the gods, which ends up leading to her demise at her own hand.
