Untitled Dramedy: According to Variety, helmer Luke Greenfield may be headed to both the big and small screens, thanks to separate film and TV pacts with Regency Enterprises and 20th Century Fox TV.

Helmer, best known for broad comedies like The Girl Next Door" and The Animal, has inked a deal with Regency to direct and produce an untitled dramedy from editor-turned-scribe Stewart Schill ("Charmed," "Clubhouse").

The dramedy is based on a pitch developed with Greenfield and his producing partners at WideAwake, Matthew Siegel and Juan Castro. Regency prexy Sanford Panitch and director of development Alexa Amin will oversee the project's development.

The storyline follows an egocentric, Nobel Prize-winning geneticist who bequeaths to his estranged son his life's work -- a 12-year-old clone of the scientist. The son must raise his father's lab-created clone.

Greenfield called it "exactly the type of movie I'm looking to direct -- a huge fantastical story, but one we can all relate to because it's all about the characters."

Pic marks the fourth feature Greenfield has set up with Regency.

Meanwhile, 20th Century Fox Television has pacted with WideAwake to develop two pilot scripts.

The first is "House Broken," a half-hour comedy set up at CBS. Based on the book by David Eddie, it centers around a womanizing bachelor's difficult adjustment when he marries a woman with two kids.

Michael Glouberman ("Malcolm In The Middle") will write the show and collaborate with Greenfield. Eye has made a script commitment to the project.

Second TV project is a half-hour comedy sold to Fox. Concept is being kept under wraps but is understood to be a hybrid scripted/reality skein to be written by Greenfield, Castro and Siegel.
