As Mad Men enters its final stretch, the latest photos make it clear that Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and associates are heading out of the 60s and into the early 70s for their swan song. The entire cast has gathered for these 'End of an Era' images, which prove that the hit drama series' stylistic integrity has been left intact.
Each character shows off their respective style, with their latest fashions reflecting a new decade. Megan Draper (Jessica Paré) appears to be the most forward thinking of the group, as her wardrobe appears to be at the height of early 70s fashion trends. Joan (Christina Hendricks) appears to be maintaining the same sort of style she's carried through the entire series, while Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) takes in the 50s nostalgia that was starting to become prevalent at the time. Betty (January Jones) has decided to keep it classy, not giving into the polyester of the decade, and Sally looks all-grown up, yet still a child in her baby doll dress, a fashion that was also very much in style forty years ago.
The men are obviously having fun with the decade as well, with Pete (Vincent Kartheiser), looking older than ever, adopting sideburns. Roger (John Slattery) has also given into this trend, showing it off with a combover. Neither men look too happy, here. Don, and the rest guys, are settling into the decade quite nicely, and if you look close enough, you'll spot Kenny in the background with his eyepatch. Not much new information can be taken away from these photos plot wise, but it looks like the second half of Mad Men Season 7 will have a lot of fun with the decade's new styles. And the era will likely effect their work in ways we can't yet image. Don Draper returns to AMC on April 5. While we wait In the meantime, enjoy this trip back to the 70s:
