Amber Heard is the latest actress to join the burgeoning cast of Warner Bros.' Magic Mike XXL, following yesterday's additions of Andie MacDowell and Jada Pinkett Smith. Magic Mike XXL star Channing Tatum also announced on his Facebook page today that the sequel is holding a contest where one lucky fan will get to be an extra on the set. Check out the video below, and visit MagicMikeContest.com to find out how you can enter, before reading on for more details on the sequel.

No details were given for Amber Heard's character, but she joins original Magic Mike stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer and Joe Manganiello. The story revolves around a road trip to a stripper convention, which is loosely based on Channing Tatum's experiences as a 19-year-old male stripper. We reported earlier this week that Matthew McConaughey will not be returning for the sequel.

Gregory Jacobs is making his feature directorial debut with the sequel, after serving as first assistant director on Magic Mike and several other projects for filmmaker Steven Soderbergh. Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin wrote the screenplay and are producing alongside the director. Production is scheduled to begin later this month, with original Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh serving as director of photography, editor and camera operator.

Amber Heard most recently starred in the action-thriller 3 Days to Kill alongside Kevin Costner, and she will next be seen in The Adderall Diaries alongside James Franco and Christian Slater.
