The indie drama Magic Mike already has plenty of actors signed on to portray male strippers, and now it has its first female stripper with Riley Keough joining the cast. The actress beat out Lindsay Lohan for the part of a female stripper who also dates Alex Pettyfer's character. Here's what an insider had to say about the casting.

"Riley was cast as the girl who dates Alex Pettyfer's character in the movie. The character is trouble with a capital T, which Lindsay would have been perfect for."

The insider also revealed that director Steven Soderbergh went with Riley Keough over Lindsay Lohan because he didn't want to "deal with" the troubled actress.

Steven Soderbergh is directing Magic Mike from a screenplay by Reid Carolin, which is loosely based on actor Channing Tatum's days as a 19-year-old stripper in Tampa. Channing Tatum stars as the title character, who mentors Alex Pettyfer in the art of hustling. Production is scheduled to start on September 14.
