September isn't often a month that hosts too many box office blockbusters, with the summer movie season already come and gone, but that might be different this year with Sony's highly-anticipated remake of The Magnificent Seven. Denzel Washington leads an all-star cast in this new version of the 1960 classic, reuniting with director Antoine Fuqua after another successful remake, 2014's The Equalizer. To get fans ready for this release we have a new poster that brings these unruly outlaws together, along with seven character vignettes that offer new details about each character.

These vignettes from Sony Pictures feature all seven of the main characters, Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). We learn in Denzel Washington's video that he is a bounty hunter and sworn warrant officer in the Indian Territories, Arkansas and seven other states. We also see new footage that shows Sam's mastery with firearms in several thrilling gunfight scenes.

We also learn much more about Chris Pratt's Farraday, the group's gambler, Ethan Hawke's Goodnight, who is battling his own demons from the war, Vincent D'Onofrio's Jack Horne, a "bear" of a man who has lost it all and Byung-Hun Lee's knife-wielding assassin Billy Rocks, who doesn't even need a gun to win in a gunfight. The last two featurettes reveal that Martin Sensmeier's Red Harvest is a Commanche warrior who is actually tracking the other six outlaws before revealing himself and joining their team, while Manuel Garcia-Rulfo's Vasquez has always been an outlaw who loves gunfighting and being a criminal, who has been on the run for several months, before Sam Chisolm approaches him to be a part of The Magnificent Seven.

With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns. As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money in this remake of The Magnificent Seven. Haley Bennett, Luke Grimes, Wagner Moura and Matthew Bomer round out the supporting cast of this remake.

Antoine Fuqua directs from a screenplay by Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective) and Richard Wenk. The producers are Roger Birnbaum and Todd Black. The movie unites director Antoine Fuqua and Denzel Washington for a third time following the critically-acclaimed Training Day and The Equalizer. This remake is truly going to be One Wild Ride! This action-packed Western will go up against Warner Bros.' Storks in theaters on September 23.
