At Sundance, Magnolia Pictures picked up the rights to the horror, The Signal from writers/directors David Bruckner, Jacob Gentry and Dan Bush.

The film centers on a mysterious transmission which invades every cell phone, radio and TV in the city, turning its inhabitants into killers, notes The Hollywood Reporter. This marks the second purchase for the company at the Park City, Utah festival; they bought the documentary, Crazy Love late Saturday.

No release date has been set for The Signal.
