Director Darren Aronofsky hasn't chosen his next project yet, after dropping out of The Wolverine back in March. A new report indicates that Disney is pursuing the director for its Maleficent project, and Warner Bros. wants Darren Aronofsky to direct its biblical drama Moses.

Maleficent is only recently in search of a director, after the news last week that Tim Burton left the project. The story is essentially the Sleeping Beauty tale, only told from the evil witch Maleficent's point of view. Angelina Jolie is still attached to star as the title character. Our report from last week also indicated David Yates is being considered for Maleficent.

Moses will tell the tale of the biblical character, as he tries to lead the Isrealites out of Egypt before the Exodus, and gets them lost in the desert. Dan Lin is producing for Warner Bros.

It isn't known when either project will start production. It doesn't seem that Darren Aronofsky has been officially offered either job yet.
