While viewers still await Daredevil's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the brief tease in Episode 5 (and it's coming, the duo's team-up was already teased in an exclusive clip shown at D23 2022), this week's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law did introduce a super villain who is closely tied to the Man Without Fear in Marvel Comics. Among a whole host of eccentric villains introduced in Episode 7, "The Retreat," was Man-Bull and his partner in crime and maybe life El Águila.

In the latest episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) finds herself at Summer Twilights, the retreat owned by Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth). Now out on parole, Blonsky is doing more than okay: he has created a big bad rehabilitation center so that ex-super villains can talk openly about their feelings and support each other's to move beyond the anger. Currently, taking part in Blonsky's rehab group is Wrecker (yup, the dude from the Wrecking Crew), Saracen (maybe a vamp), Porcupine (a man in a suit, but it's a super suit), Man-Bull (a science experiment gone wrong), and his partner El Águila (who did some light matadoring in college).

Of all the Marvel Comics characters introduced in Episode 7, one of the biggest changes was to the relationship between Man-Bull and El Águila, who have no real connection in comics continuity but might be married in the MCU (it's seriously unclear, even Jen is confused). Man-Bull, played by Nathan Hurd (Legion, Elementary), who made his live-action debut in "The Retreat," is a supervillain by trade in the comics. First appearing in Marvel Comics in 1971's Daredevil #78 by Gerry Conway, Gene Colan, Tom Palmer, and Sam Rosen, Man-Bull didn't choose to be a guinea pig for the serum that turned him into a Minotaur, but it eventually turned him wild anyway. He has crossed paths with Hulk, She-Hulk, and Punisher over the years, to name a few, and has even had some meta adventures of his own.

Who Is El Águila?

Episode 7 also introduced MCU fans to Man-Bull's partner, El Águila, portrayed by Joseph Castillo-Midyett (The Equalizer, Fear the Walking Dead), who is actually a mutant. In Marvel Comics, El Águila, a.k.a. The Eagle, is notorious for being a hero to the underprivileged, facing crime with a sword that can shoot electricity. He was first introduced in Power Man and Iron Fist #58 by Mary Jo Duffy, Trevor Von Eeden, Dan Green, D. Albers, and G. Roussos, but lost his powers in M-Day and hasn't appeared in comic continuity much since.
