Following the new poster and photos released earlier today, Warner Bros. has debuted the first trailer from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Arriving in theaters August 14, this thriller is a remake of the 1960s TV series of the same name. The series starred Robert Vaughn as U.S. spy Napoleon Solo and David McCallum as his Russian counterpart Illya Kuryakin, which ran for four seasons between 1964 and 1968.

This remake offers a fresh take on the hugely popular 1960s television series. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, centering on CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB agent Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer). Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo's only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

Guy Ritchie directs this upcoming adaptation, which co-stars Alicia Vikander, Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Debicki, Jared Harris and Luca Calvani. Take a look at the first footage, and stay tuned for more from this Cold War thriller, which could just sneak under the radar and become one of the biggest summer hits of 2015.
