Production is currently under way on Warner Bros.' Man of Steel, with shooting slated to wrap in early 2012. Even though we are over a year and a half away from Man of Steel's June 14, 2013 release date, the studio is already thinking about a sequel.

Screenwriters Steve Kloves (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, Akira), Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans), and Lawrence Kasdan (Paradise Lost, Darling Companion) are all considered front runners to write the Man of Steel sequel script. No deals have been signed, and none of the writers have even met with the studio yet, but it seems these are Warner's top three choices to draft a Man of Steel sequel.

Zack Snyder is directing Man of Steel from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. It isn't known if Zack Snyder would be game for directing a Man of Steel sequel yet.
