In a story from The Hollywood Reporter it seems that Bear Grylls, the host of Man Vs. Wild on the Discovery Channel, got hurt during an expedition in Antarctica.

His injuries had nothing to do with the show.

Apparently, the host hurt his shoulder during a fall. The expedition was for "Ethanol Ventures to promote the potential of alternative energies like bioethanol."

Grylls went to the UK on Sunday to get checked out.

"Bear has a strong religious faith and a loving family to help speed his recovery," Discovery stated. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Bear as he makes the long trip back to the U.K."
