It has been a long and traumatic journey for the passengers of Flight 828 in Manifest, both on and off-screen. Now the end is here and Netflix have released the trailer for the final episodes which will being the mystery drama to its tumultuous close. Season 4 Part 2 will arrive on Netflix on June 2, and after many fans believed they would never get to see how the story ends, what that finale brings is going to be the subject of debate following the arrival of the last episodes. Netflix’s teaser is a combination of reminders of Part 1’s finale, and the expectation of what is coming for the remaining passengers. Like its predecessor in the mystery/sci-fi genre, Lost, Manifest has been a journey that is as much about its characters as about the unusual events surrounding them. While that series has frequently been the subject of annoyance over its finale, Manifest can hopefully avoid that and come to a satisfying conclusion for everyone. So far, it has continued to pull together the threads of the story it has always been telling, and in the most part it has been able to tell that story as creator Jeff Rake wanted to after its dramatic cancelation at NBC in June 2021.
The first part of Manifest’s final season was a huge hit for Netflix, and there is little doubt that Part 2 will repeat the same success. While the saving of Manifest by the streamer was a big thing at the time, it seems that like Lucifer before it, Netflix may have a bad reputation for canceling some shows too soon, they still know when to back someone else’s cancelation.
What Will Happen In Manifest Season 4 Part 2?
Obviously, we don’t know exactly how Manifest will resolve its story, but last month Netflix released a full synopsis of how the final ten episodes will lead the surviving passengers of 828 to their final destination, one way or the other. The synopsis teases:
“In the aftermath of Angelina unleashing a devastating volcanic fissure, the passengers face severe scrutiny in a world fueled by 828er hate, no longer free to solve their own Callings without constant supervision by the unscrupulous 828 Registry. A mysterious accident delivers ominous warnings on a biblical scale that will further jeopardize the livelihood of all the passengers. As Michaela grieves the loss of her beloved husband Zeke, she must team up with her old flame Jared to find new methods to investigate Callings.Meanwhile, Ben and Saanvi attempt to collaborate with the Registry authorities, which only leads to dire results for the passengers. Miraculously, a mythological event reactivates Cal’s sapphire-laden dragon scar, offering a glimmer of hope for the 828ers to survive the rapidly approaching Death Date. But Angelina’s nefarious sapphire powers continue to wreak havoc, leading to a struggle between good and evil down to their very last day in this most terrifying, suspenseful, and joyous chapter of the Manifest story.”
It has been a very long journey for 828’s passengers, and those who have followed their story from start to finish, but this summer, the story ends. See the final episodes of Manifest on Netflix from June 2.
