Stranger Than Fiction director Marc Foster is set to produce the drama Land of Roses for Mandate Pictures. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he is planning to direct the feature as well.
The film deals with the real-life Post 9-11 experiences of Kurdish immigrant Ibrahim Parlak. The plot revolves around an outraged community that attempts to exonerate a falsely imprisoned Middle Eastern father who has been accused of terrorism.
Albert Torres is all set to write the screenplay. Mandate president Nathan Kahane stated "Albert writes with a distinctive voice, and to couple that talent with Marc's vision as a filmmaker is a rare opportunity we didn't want to miss."
The film does not have a set start date for filming at this time.
