Before you get too excited, Margot Robbie doesn't gleefully murder anyone in the just released viral video from Vogue that parodies American Psycho. She's saving all the gruesome bloodshed for her upcoming role in Suicide Squad as Harley Quinn. In that DC Comics adventure, she will play a psychotic murderer tasked with becoming a superhero of sorts as she joins a group of villains to pull off an almost impossible mission. The actress shows what landed her the role, as she sets herself up as a real Australian psycho in this short film from Catfish: The Movie directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost. Here, we get to learn about Robbie's psychotic morning make-up ritual. Vogue describes this viral spoof of Patrick Bateman as such.

"What does it take to become one of Hollywood's most sought-after leading ladies? Australian-born Margot Robbie has an idea: for starters, a studied beauty routine so precise it borders on psychopathic. See the 25-year-old discuss the importance of being born with a six-pack and the beautifying powers of placenta cream in this American Psycho-spoofing original short directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost."

Suicide Squad is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the summer. And with a Batman cameo from Ben Affleck added in for good measure, it's sure to be a blockbuster hit this August. But many are already calling Margot Robbie the movie's premiere scene stealer. And we get a taste of that naughtiness in this short video. She's the perfect psychopath. And Warner Bros. obviously loves her so much, she's getting her own Harley Quinn movie.

It was announced yesterday that Margot Robbie will produce the Harley Quinn spinoff, which she pitched to Warner Bros. herself after pouring over a stack of DC Comics in preparation for Suicide Squad. The movie will reportedly also feature other strong DC Comics female characters such as Batgirl and The Birds of Prey. Margot even hired her own writer, who is currently going unnamed, to help get the project off the ground. Warner Bros. recently set two release dates for upcoming DC Comics movies in 2018 and 2019. It was believed that these dates would go to the Batman solo movie and Suicide Squad 2. But if Suicide Squad proves to be a hit, it's possible that one of these two dates could go to Robbie's new passion project.

We get to see some of that passion come out in this Vogue video, which shows Margot tiptoeing around her 'charming little five-bedroom in Beechwood Canyon' where she likes to 'meditate' as she works on her 'core' even though she was 'born with a six-pack'. The woman is such a real-life superhero, she doesn't even have to wash her hair. 'It basically cleans itself.' The end of the video does take the Patrick Bateman idea to an interesting, if unexpected place, and it's probably not what you wanted. But hey, you do get to see Margot Robbie doing a neat little dance while ripping her own top off. What more could you ask for?
