Marisa Tomei has been tapped for the title role of CBS' comedy pilot The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud. The show centers on a brilliant, opinionated writer (Tomei), struggling to deliver the follow-up to her acclaimed first novel, who has an epiphany and tries to recapture her youthful optimism., says The Hollywood Reporter.

Holly Robinson Peete has joined ABC's drama pilot Football Wives. The show follows the wives of professional football players; Robinson Peete will play the mother of the star wide receiver (Brian White).

Camille Guaty and Kate Burton have been tapped to star in Fox's pilot Supreme Courtships; it's a comedic drama about six Supreme Court clerks and they judges they work for. Guaty will play an ambitious, smart and liberal clerk; Burton will play the justice she works for.

Lucy Punch, Christopher Denham and Geneva Carr have landed leads in Fox's comedy pilot Two Families, which revolves around two sets of adult siblings who share the same father (Beau Bridges); Punch, Denham and Carr will play three of the siblings.

Jarrad Paul and Kurt Fuller have joined ABC's comedy pilot See Jane Run. Teh show centers on an alpha female in an investment banking firm. Fuller will play the woman's boss. Paul will play a hardworking associate.

Mae Whitman has joined NBC's drama pilot The Bionic Woman; it's a reimagination of the 1970s series where Whitman will play the Bionic Woman's younger sister.

Mo Collins has come aboard NBC's comedy pilot Wild Life, which is set at a wildlife park; Collins will play an animal handler bored with her job.

Reg Rogers has been cast in Fox's drama pilot Them. The show centers on a sleeper cell of extraterrestrial terrorists who take the shape of humans; Rogers will play the 'therapist' who helps the agents assimilate into their new culture.

John Carroll Lynch and Tawny Cypress have been added to Fox's drama pilot K-Ville; it revolves around cops in post-Katrina New Orleans. Lynch will play the head of the felony action squad. Cypress ("Heroes") will play the only woman on the squad.

D.B. Woodside has been added to CBS' Viva Laughlin!; it centers on a man (Lloyd Owen) who dreams of opening a casino in Laughlin, Nev. Woodside will play his accountant and business manager.
