According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marc M, the writer-animator behind Sick Animation, and National Lampoon are developing an animated project for Comedy Central based on his Internet cartoon series Secret League of Legionnaires.

The project, which is in early script development at the cable network, will center on the hilarious and bizarre adventures of Captain Martinez, a space explorer. The project was originally commissioned for NationalLampoon.com, but Marc M and National Lampoon editor-in-chief Scott Rubin brought Secret League to Comedy Central after seeing success with the online project.

The Web series can be found at www.sickanimation.com. Marc M is writing the script and would provide the voices. He also would executive produce with Rubin.
