Mark Verheiden has signed on to pen the DreamWorks project Quartermain, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The sci-fi adventure springs from an original idea, though no plot details are available. Holly Bario and Jonathan Eirich are overseeing the project for the studio.
Quartermain is one of the 17 projects DreamWorks developed then paid to take with it when it left the Paramount fold last year.
No production date has been set.
