It seems Steve Carell and Tina Fey will be getting some comedic support in two dramatic actors. According to Variety, Mark Wahlberg and James Franco have signed on for supporting roles in the new comedy Date Night.

Shawn Levy is directing from Josh Klausner's script, which revolves around a married couple (Carell and Fey) whose Date Night turns disasterous. Wahlberg and Franco join an impressive supporting ensemble that includes the likes of Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji Henson and Kristen Wiig.

Wahlberg will play a successful and buff securities expert who flirts with Fey's character and Franco will portray a dimwitted con man/thief. Meester will play the babysitter for the couple, Henson plays a cop who tries to help the couple out of danger, Common plays a villian and Wiig plays' Fey's best friend.

No production schedule was announced for the film.
