MTV recently spoke with actor Mark Wahlberg, who confirmed that he will star as Nathan Drake in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Here's what he told the site about the upcoming video game adaptation, and its new writer-director, David O. Russell:

"David is one of the best writer/directors I've ever worked with. The idea that he has is just insane. So hopefully we'll be making that movie this summer."

There was also speculation, first raised by Showbiz 411, that Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci were being eyed for roles in the movie, which Mark Wahlberg confirmed. He also revealed what roles they would play:

"I'm obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It's not going to be the watered-down version, that's for sure."

Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci have not been confirmed to star in the film, but talks are ongoing. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further information on Uncharted: Drake's Fortune as soon as we have it.
