Mark Wahlberg is in final talks to star in Seth MacFarlane's feature directorial debut Ted, for Universal Pictures.

According to Variety, the comedy centers on a grown man whose cherished teddy bear comes to life as the result of a childhood wish.

Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) will voice the CGI teddy bear.

Seth MacFarlane penned the script with Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, who also will produce.
