It seems that Mark Wahlberg will be doing some traveling for his next film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wahlberg has been set to star in Reykjavik-Rotterdam, a remake of the Icelandic film of the same name.

Aaron Guzikowski, whose hot spec script Prisoners is currently in development, will write the remake. The original film centered on a security guard and former smuggler along the Reykjavik-Rotterdam route, who is lured back into the illegal business after he encounters hard financial times.

The remake will be directed by Baltasar Kormakur, who produced and starred in the original Icelandic film, which has been submitted to contend for the Best Foreign Language Oscar this year. No production schedule was announced for the film.
