The story of one rambunctious dog and its family is the top dog on the DVD charts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marley & Me took the top spot on the DVD sales charts for the week ending April 5. The Owen Wilson/Jennifer Aniston film also topped the rental charts for the week, although it had some stiff competition.

Slumdog Millionaire finished in second place on the DVD sales charts and third place on the rental charts, just barely behind another newcomer, Seven Pounds, which took second in rentals and fifth place on the sales charts. Seven Pounds tallied 69% of Marley & Me rental total while Slumdog Millionaire was close behind with 65%. Twilight, the top seller for the last two weeks, slipped to third place on the sales charts while last week's top rental, Quantum of Solace, slipped to fourth, although it did remain atop the final chart.

Quantum of Solace managed to hang on to the Blu-ray sales chart title for a second straight week, but by a very slim margin. Slumdog Millionaire finished in a close second place, accounting for 97% of Quantum of Solace's BD take. Marley & Me debuted in third place on the BD charts.
