Martin Scorsese will reteam with his favorite actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, for their fourth film together entitled Shutter Island. According to Variety, the film is an adaptation of the popular Dennis Lehane novel. Laeta Kalogridis is writing the screenplay.
The drama is set in 1954. DiCaprio is gearing up to play U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels who was in charge of investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from an insane asylum. She is rumored to be hiding out on Shutter Island.
The film will begin shooting early next year. At this time, location scouts are looking at different parts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Nova Scotia for certain scenes.
