Marvel has welcomed their fans now to the Multiverse Saga. Comic-Con is rocking this weekend, and a lot of the reason, once again, is because Marvel is bringing down the house. A slew of movies and projects have been announced, but much as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame rounded out the Infinity Saga, Marvel has welcomed their fans now to the Multiverse Saga. What a welcome it will be with not one, but two Avengers films slated for May and November of 2025.

In addition to announcing projects such as Captain America: New World Order and Daredevil: Born Again for projects into Phase 5 and dropping a trailer for Phase 4 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel confirmed where fans thought the next phases were going since the bombshell at the end of Loki: Kang is coming. As far as audiences know, baring any surpirses, the super villain, and next Avengers-level threat will be seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. We now know when the time traveling, multiverse hopping big bad will have his official date with the Avengers, and his destiny: May 5th 2025. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has been officially announced as one of two new Avengers films coming our way in 2025.

The use of the word "Dynasty" in the title is very peculiar and could mean more than a few things. More than likely it will refer to an area of time in which Kang has conquered, much like his conqueror idols, Alexander the Great and King Tut, Kang actually lives up to his nickname: The Conqueror. During a time in which he was aiming to return home to his own time, he misses the mark by 1000 years and found an apocalyptic world torn apart by warring factions, all of which he promptly conquers, creating his own dynasty.

It could also refer to the several guises the villain has held in his time in the comics: Iron-Lad, Immortus, Scarlet Centurion, to name a few. Whatever the case may be, Marvel will do Marvel things and get its audience prepared with all of its titles coming in theaters and on Disney + in the next 3 years before the Avengers assemble one more time.

Avengers Secret Wars
Marvel Comics

While announcing any movie is a big deal, especially an Avengers film, Marvel quickly outdid itself announcing its next project: Avengers: Secret Wars. The inclusion of this title so soon might appear puzzling, but with the two titles being so close together: May and November of the same year, it is already suspected that the events of Avengers: Kang Dynasty will run into the events of Avengers: Secret Wars as Kang is involved in the latter in the comics. In the source material, an entity known as the Beyonder gathers several heroes: X-Men, Avengers, Spider-Man and others into a Battleworld with villains such as Doctor Doom, Doc Ock, and you guessed it: Kang.

The Beyonder then utters some of the most famous lines in comic history:“I am from beyond! Slay your enemies and all that you desire shall be yours! Nothing you dream of is impossible for me to accomplish.” While it is possible The Beyonder will be included in the film, more than likely Kang will have a larger role in the film, especially with Secret Wars being set up to be the endgame type film for Kang Dynasty. As also, it's incredibly fun to speculate, but enjoying the ride is part of it. Pay close attention to Movieweb for more news coming out of Hall H from Comic Con!
