Square Enix has announced they will finally unveil their long-awaited Avengers game at E3. However, Marvel fans have been wondering what this means for the game in terms of details. Square Enix did follow up with a quick blurb, but it was swiftly deleted, since they probably want to unveil everything all at once on Tuesday, June 11th at their E3 event. However, nothing is ever really gone from the internet, so we still have some of those game details, which you can read below.

As we learned earlier this week, Square Enix's long-awaited game is titled Marvel's Avengers. But, fans have been wondering what they can expect in terms of gameplay. There were a lot of questions and more than a few fans were asking if it was going to end up being a fighting game, like the Mortal Kombat series. That does not sound like it's going to be the case. Square Enix had this to say in a blurb.

"This is the defining Avengers gaming experience. An epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with continuous single-player and co-operative gameplay."

The teams in Marvel's Avengers will reportedly allow up to four players with "extraordinary abilities, hero customization, combining powers, and an ever-expanding world that is constantly under threat." While this doesn't give us all of the details, it's enough to get Marvel fans through for the next few weeks. A teaser for the game was released two years ago, but it did not feature any real information, except for the fact that the Avengers were going to have to reassemble to fight this latest threat.

The marketing for the E3 video game teasers have been using the same colors as the Infinity Stones, so there has been speculation that Marvel's Avengers might be based on Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame with Thanos as the main antagonist. This would be a pretty wise maneuver for a number of reasons, but mostly because Endgame is currently the hottest movie on the planet and close to possibly becoming the highest grossing movie of all time. With that being said, the game will also probably end up being massive, as long as it's not riddled with microtransactions like Star Wars Battlefront 2.

There is no current release date set for Marvel's Avengers, but we should get that information during the E3 event on June 11th at 6 PM Pacific Time. Marvel fans have waited this long, so another few weeks really isn't a big deal at this point. Whatever the case may be, this is an exciting time for fans who have been waiting years to see what Square Enix has been up to. With all of the waiting, pressure and hype has been mounting, so let's hope the game can live up to those expectations when the dust settles. The Marvel's Avengers game info from Square Enix was saved by Comic Book.
