Square Enix will finally officially unveil their Avengers game at E3. The game is reportedly titled Marvel's Avengers and fans have been waiting years to see what the company has been working on. It had previously been rumored that the game was going to be announced earlier this year after some promotional art for the upcoming event featured the colors of the Infinity Stones. Now, Marvel fans will get their first look during the Square Enix live event on June 10th.

Information about Marvel's Avengers new video game will be announced June 10th at 6 PM Pacific Time, which is only a few weeks away. While it's nice to finally know when we're going to get some official news about the long-awaited game, it is still very much shrouded in mystery. A teaser trailer was released two years ago and hinted that the Avengers needed to "reassemble" after showing iconic Marvel imagery, including Captain America's shield, Mjolnir, and Iron Man's glove. Square Enix previously had this to say about the mystery project.

"The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come."

The ambitious Marvel's Avengers video game project is expected to be huge and the announcement comes at the perfect time. Avengers: Endgame is now the second highest grossing movie of all time with its sights set on taking down James Cameron's Avatar as the highest grossing movie of all time. Anything involving the Avengers is going to be red hot, especially a huge video game that may end up playing off of the last few Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

It is entirely possible that the Avengers will have to reassemble to save the universe from Thanos after losing the first time. That is pure speculation at this time, but it would make sense. As to how a game will be able to tackle something so massive, that is a whole other question. With that being said, Square Enix has partnered with Crystal Dynamics and Deus Ex studio Eidos Montreal, which means there are some pretty heavy hitters working behind-the-scenes to tackle the ambitious project.

Whatever the case may be, all eyes are now on Square Enix to deliver the goods at E3 in a few weeks. This is a huge announcement for gamers who have been waiting years to finally get some kind of official announcement. Perhaps some gameplay, storyline, and release date information will be announced. At this point, it doesn't really matter for the Marvel fans who have been waiting a really long time to get an official update on the Marvel's Avengers game.
