Earlier this week, /marvel-daredevil-season-2-premiere-2016-netflix/Netflix renewed Marvel's Daredevil for Season 2, which will be coming back with all-new episodes next year on the streaming service. The news came less than two weeks after the entire 13-episode first season debuted on Netflix. While we know that the beloved superhero character will be back next year, series star Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock/Daredevil, revealed in a new interview that he wants a stand alone Daredevil movie.
"Yeah that would be awesome - I'd love to do that... And usually when you've got a two-hour movie, it's action-packed, and so I think that's one of the things that the show has really benefitted from - having that extra time to really get to know and sit with these characters and see them as humans. But I'd love to see Daredevil on the big screen again. It would be great. And if I could be involved with that, I'd be thrilled."
The actor also expressed his interest in Captain America: Civil War, since his character does appear in the original Civil War comics. However, the actor added that he thinks he may have missed his window, since shooting begins in just two weeks in Atlanta.
"Well he's in the comics, but I think they're already... I think I might have missed that boat... So unless someone watches the show and falls so madly in love with it that they decide to get me in for a day, that would be great, but I have no idea."
Daredevil, along with the other Netflix shows Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage and Marvel's Iron Fist will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it has never been confirmed if the shows will actually be brought to the big screen as well.
