Marvel Studios is continuing its 10th Anniversary celebration with the release of eight new character posters, showcasing just a small handful of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most beloved superheroes. We also have the official banner and poster, along with a video display outside of a Times Square hotel in New York City which showcases the design for the 10th Anniversary. The posters have been confirmed as part of the official celebration, although it is not clear yet when the high-resolution versions will be released, or when more posters featuring different MCU characters will arrive.

What's interesting is this first wave of posters features some old and new looks for these heroes. The Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) poster features the Mark XLII armor, featured in Iron Man 3 and also seen briefly in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The Captain America (Chris Evans) poster features the character's last Cap suit, seen in Captain America: Civil War, although we've seen his new "Nomad" look in the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. The Thor (Chris Hemsworth) poster features his new short-hair look as seen in Thor: Ragnarok, although he's not seen with the eyepatch that we saw in the Avengers: Infinity War trailer.

Interestingly enough, the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) poster features this character's look from 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, while the Groot (Vin Diesel) poster features the full-grown character from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and not the Baby Groot version from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, or even the "teen Groot" version from one of the five Guardians 2 post-credit scenes. The last three posters feature The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and the latest MCU hero, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). These are just a handful of heroic characters that have been showcased over the past decade, and it wouldn't be surprising if there are several more of these posters unveiled over the next few months.

The vertical poster and the banner features the same gold backdrop as the character posters, with several more heroes featured that very well could get their own poster. Also featured in the banner and one-sheet, aside from the aforementioned heroes, are Vision (Paul Bettany), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Shuri (Letitia Wright), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Wong (Benedict Wong), Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). It could be just a matter of time before they all get their own posters.

The MCU's 10th Anniversary celebration has already gotten off to a great start with the immense success of Black Panther at the box office, which has taken in $411 million domestic and $727.9 million worldwide. Up next for the MCU is Avengers: Infinity War, arriving in theaters May 4, with Ant-Man and the Wasp coming this summer on July 6. Rounding out Phase 3 of the MCU will be Captain Marvel (March 8, 2019) and Avengers 4 (May 3, 2019), with Phase 4 getting started just a few months later with Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 (July 5, 2019). Take a look at these new character posters, which surfaced on Reddit.
