Sharon Stone gave us one of the great sexy cinematic teases of all time in 1992's Basic Instinct. Now she's teasing Marvel fans with a tantalizing bit of casting news. Apparently she has joined an upcoming superhero movie, firmly staking her flag in some prime MCU real estate. Though, she refuses to confirm what the movie is at this time.

Sharon Stone recently appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden. There, she dropped this hint during her chat. She doesn't get into any specifics. And she admits that it's just a small role, perhaps just a cameo. She explains.

"I am going to do a Marvel movie. I'm just doing a wee part in a Marvel movie, upcoming, and I can't tell, because you know, you have to sign confidentiality agreements. But I'm going to do a wee part in a Marvel movie now. That's it."

There are 9 more movies in Marvel Phase 3 following Captain America: Civil War, with Doctor Strange already in the can. The two most logical entries in the franchise are the next two being shot, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok. We already know that Sylvester Stallone has some sort of role in Guardians, is it possible that we'll see him reunited with his The Specialist co-star?

There's also the possibility that she has signed on for a small role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which shoots later this year as well, and is officially considered part of Marvel Phase 3, even though it is a Sony co-production. Perhaps she is playing one of Peter Parker's high school teachers? Could Peter and Sharon Stone's unnamed character be entering Mary Kay Letourneau territory? Will we get a sly play on the infamous Basic Instinct crossing of the legs scene in a classroom? Who knows! Sharon Stone is no stranger to superhero movies. She infamously played villain Laurel Hedare in the campy 2004 bomb Catwoman, making her one of the few Marvel/DC crossover actresses.
