Earlier today, Robert Downey Jr. shared a new group photo on social media that has everyone buzzing. The photo reunites the actor with his Iron Man and Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau, along with renowned celebrity chef Roy Choi, the new Spider-Man, Tom Holland, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Avengers: Infinity War directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Robert Downey Jr. revealed that this photo represents a "New project" both Jon Favreau and Roy Choi are working on, but very little else is known about what this group is up to.

The photo, which Robert Downey Jr. posted on Twitter, has already gotten 3,800 retweets and 9,800 likes in the eight hours since he posted it, but the actor has not clarified why all of these Marvel heavy hitters are together. The photo was taken in Atlanta, where Tom Holland is shooting Spider-Man: Homecoming and the Russo Brothers are starting rehearsals for Avengers: Infinity War, which is likely why Kevin Feige is in town. Both Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau are most likely in Atlanta to film their roles as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Happy Hogan. We reported a few weeks ago that Jon Favreau is reprising his role as Happy Hogan, which he last played in the 2013 sequel Iron Man 3. Still, Roy Choi remains the wild card at this table, but he has worked with Jon Favreau in the past.

Roy Choi served as the inspiration for the 2014 indie comedy Chef, which Jon Favreau starred in, wrote and directed. Roy Choi also shared the same photo on his Instagram page, telling his fans to #staytuned for more details on their secret project. We reported earlier this year that Jon Favreau is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe by serving as an executive producer on Avengers: Infinity War, which is slated to start production this November. Perhaps Jon Favreau is cooking up another secret culinary movie with Roy Choi, or perhaps a sequel to Chef. Or is Downey simply refereing to scenes about to be shot for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which seems like the most likley scenario.

Marvel has used the Pinewood Studios Atlanta facilities for many of its most recent hits, such as Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, and their upcoming movies Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming. It is believed that the rehearsal photo that the Russo Brothers recently sent out of Josh Brolin in a motion-capture suit as Thanos was taken at Pinewood Atlanta as well. Filming is expected to begin in November, but an exact start date has yet to be revealed.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released in theaters on July 7, 2017, with Avengers: Infinity War arriving May 4, 2018. It isn't known when Jon Favreau or Roy Choi plan to unveil details on this secretive new project, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more information is released. In the meantime, take a look at this Marvel group photo below.
