The pieces are finally starting to fall into place for the new Marvel/Sony Spider-Man movie, with Tom Holland set to play Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei entering talks to play Aunt May and Jon Watts (Cop Car) set to direct. There is still much we don't know about the project yet, and we thought that wouldn't change this week, since Marvel skipped Comic-Con. But IGN managed to catch up with Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, who shed some light on Spidey's new costume. While he would not go into specifics, he did reveal that fans are going to be surprised by the superhero suit, since he has seen some early designs.

"It's awesome. I've seen a lot of design work that's been done on the costume. I think there are elements of it that are really going to blow people away where they are going to go 'Ah, that's Marvel doing Spider-Man."

When asked if the web crawler will have web shooters, he would only say that "Things will be revealed as they are meant to be revealed." He did express his excitement about Spidey finally finding a place within the MCU.

"It's Spider-Man. What's not exciting about that? I can't imagine there's a person on the planet Earth that can't relate to some aspect of Spider-Man or Peter Parker, and he is for all intents and purposes, he is Marvel's Mickey Mouse. He is the icon of so much of what we have was built upon, so to create that movie along with our Sony partners it's phenomenally exciting. I know Kevin Feige and his team have some great ideas. Some wonderful theories that we have all chimed in on."

Do you have any theories about how this new Spider-Man costume could be different than everything that has come before? Can Marvel finally give fans the Spider-Man movie they've always wanted? Chime in with your thoughts and stay tuned for more updates.
