Marvel is lining up a massive sixty episode television expansion, which will include four new hour-long dramas and a mini-series based on existing properties in their superhero universe.

Plot details are being held under wraps on all five of these projects, but the episode package is currently being shopped around to cable networks and VOD distributors. Netflix, Amazon and WGN America are some of the main competitors being pursued. Potential casting details are unavailable at this point.

The news comes as no surprise with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. picking up a series commitment at ABC. Marvel's Agent Carter is also expected to make a small screen appearance. A sixty episode commitment would be a giant undertaking for a potential buyer, but the move would make sense for outlets planning on building up a lineup of scripted shows.

What characters and possible crossovers would you want to see in these new projects? Stay tuned to find out where these shows will go.
