Jackson-led series has been receiving radio silence as to when it will actually arrive on the platform, despite being slated for a Spring 2023 release for some time. Secret Invasion will be the first full Marvel series to hit Disney+ since She-Hulk: Attorney at Law back in August 2022. Although the original line up for 2023 suggested that the series would be arriving much earlier, the delay of Secret Invasion was partly responsible for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels originally swapping places in the release calendar, and then The Marvels being pushed back again to November 2023.

Although it is not known exactly what impact Secret Invasion will have on The Marvels’ storyline, the inclusion of Nick Fury in both projects along with Martin Freeman’s Everett Ross reported to appear in both too, there is certainly an expectation that at least something of Secret Invasion will be carrying over into Brie Larson’s return as Captain Marvel. For his part in Secret Invasion, Martin Freeman previously noted that the six-part series is unlike anything else he has worked on for Marvel. He said:

"It feels pretty different to stuff I've seen. It does feel like a little departure. Yeah, it does -- in ways that I wouldn't be that able to describe. Again, I've not seen it. I've not even read all of it."

So far, series such as WandaVision and Moon Knight have become some of the most successful Disney+ offerings from Marvel Studios, and if Secret Invasion can bring something different to table then it could turn out to be one of the best received Marvel projects of the year. Being the first MCU project to be led by Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, there is a lot of anticipation for Secret Invasion and with the premiere date now known, it is likely that a new trailer for Secret Invasion will arrive around the same time Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 hits cinemas.
