Just last week, Marvel's Editor-in-Chief, Joe Quesada was talking on Twitter about his getting a glimpse of Super Hero Squad - the animated series based on the toy line of the same name. Now, according to Variety, Cartoon Network has ordered up 26 episodes of the show to air sometime in late 2009.

Super Hero Squad teams Captain America, the Silver Surfer, the Hulk, Wolverine and Iron Man who come together to fight crime. The children's toy line is aimed at younger audiences, and the show is aimed at males aged 6-14. Cartoon Network plans to include it in a line-up that includes Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Vocal talent for Super Hero Squad includes Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Charlie Adler (Transformers: Cybertron), Steve Blum (Wolverine and the X-Men) and Grey DeLisle (Hulk Vs.).
