Both Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Jennifer Ehle have joined the CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame telefilm The Russell Girl. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tim DeKay and Henry Czerny have also come aboard the project, which is being toplined by Amber Tamblyn.

The film revolves around Tamblyn's character, Sarah Russell, a twenty-three year old medical student who travels back to her hometown to share some important news. When she arrives unannounced, she must confront the past that she has left behind.

Mastrantonio and DeKay are all set to play the girl's parents. Ehle and Czerny will play a couple that live across the street from her family. The film will start production next week in Toronto.
