According to Home Media Retailing, IDT Entertainment is going to releasing it’s Master’s of Horror short film series on DVD March 28th, 2006 through Anchor Bay Entertainment.

This series has been snowballing for some time with a run on Showtime Networks in order to create consumer awareness.

The first offerings in the collection will be Cigarette Burns by John Carpenter and Stuart Gordon’s interpretation of the H.P. Lovecraft story, The Dreams in the Witch House. Individually the movies will cost $16.98 but can be bought together for $29.98.

The DVDs contain artwork from people like Jeremy Caniglia and Ashley Wood, a trading card as well as the usual DVD supplementals like director’s commentary tracks and “making of” segments.

Some of the other directors taking part in the his series are George A. Romero, Tobe Hooper and Roger Corman. The films from each director run about an hour in length.
