Factotum: According to Variety, Matt Dillon and Marisa Tomei will star in Norwegian director Bent Hamer's Factotum, adapted from poet Charles Bukowski's novel.

The $2.5 million feature will be produced by Hamer's BulBul Film and U.S. producer Jim Stark's Stark Sales, with Christine Walker (American Splendor) as U.S. line and co-producer.

The film, which has been in preparation for several years, will start principal photography in June in Minneapolis.

The film is described by Hamer as a funny, touching and sometimes poetic account of a man determined to live life to the fullest, even if it means taking many jobs, loving many women and rejecting every part of the American dream.

The film is looking at a spring release.
