20th Century Fox has closed a deal to distribute director Matthew Vaughn's next project, The Secret Service, which reunites him with Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar.

We first heard about the project back in October 2011, when it was announced that Matthew Vaughn is developing the adaptation with comic book creators Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Back in October, after Matthew Vaughn dropped out of directing X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Secret Service was mentioned as Matthew Vaughn's next project.

The story is based on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons's comic book of the same name, which follows a veteran Secret Service agent who mentors a young protege. Matthew Vaughn wrote the adapted screenplay with Jane Goldman. Fox is putting the project on the fast track, in hopes of getting production started this August.
