Universal is shopping around for a director for Ouija, the film adaptation of the classic Hasbro board game about conjuring up spirits of the dead, and Heat Vision is reporting that director McG has his sights on the game adaptation.
McG presented to Universal execs his vision for the project, which has a script by Tron: Legacy writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz for Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes.
The Crazies director Breck Eisner pitched his take on the material the previous week.
Ouija is described as a four-quadrant supernatural adventure centering around a family, with influences from The Mummy and Indiana Jones.
Universal has set a November 9, 2012 release date.
