Marvel is on the move! Since Avengers: Endgame wrapped up Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, every fan of Marvel is wondering what could possibly come next. However, with the introduction of the multiverse, the possibilities are pretty much endless. After the massive success of post-Endgame projects such as Loki, WandaVision, and movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel is smart enough to use this momentum to their advantage.

Fans are more excited than ever to see what Marvel has in store. Marvel is extending current projects like the Disney+ show What If…? as well as existing franchises like Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor and introducing some brand-new characters and ensembles that can turn the universe upside down. Saying farewell to some of our favorite characters in Endgame makes room for some of the newest and brightest MCU heroes to make a name for themselves as Marvel enters some uncharted territory. If you want to get ready for what the MCU has planned for Marvel fans, we have laid out all the upcoming Marvel projects in order of release date to let you know what to get excited for right now.

Ms. Marvel — June 8, 2022

Summer 2022 is in full force and Marvel is sure not to leave you hanging for long. Ms. Marvel is an upcoming miniseries that will be streamed exclusively on Disney+. The brand-new MCU show will continue establishing a new generation of superheroes that will add much-needed substance to Phase 4. This show follows Kamala Khan who is, in simple terms, a "fangirl" for the superhero we all know and love: Captain Marvel. However, the young outcast acquires superpowers like those she looks up to. If you are excited to watch this series, you do not have to wait long. Ms. Marvel will hit your screens on June 8 this year.

Thor: Love and Thunder — July 8, 2022

Marvel is definitely in their bag when continuing the storylines of the superheroes we have known since Phase 1. The highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit movie theaters on July 8, and we cannot be more excited! After Avengers: Endgame, the God of Thunder leaves Asgard to set off on his own adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy. In this next entry into the Thor movie franchise, Thor is trying to find peace after everything he's been through. However, that can't be easy, we have a movie to make! Thor gets thrown back into action with some already beloved characters from Korg and Valkyrie to the return of Jane Foster, Thor's former love interest, played by the incredible Natalie Portman. Long-awaited, its first full trailer is now available to watch.

She-Hulk — August 17, 2022

Girl Power is going to be a huge part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe from now on. We all know the Hulk, but it is time for us to meet Jennifer Walters after she becomes the titular hero in She-Hulk. In this upcoming Disney+ series starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer, a single, 30-year-old attorney has her quite normal life turned completely upside down when she becomes and big green power machine. This series is sure to make a splash, and you can definitely count on our Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to be a part of this rollercoaster airing in August.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — November 11, 2022

In 2020, Wakanda lost its king and Marvel lost one of the most iconic trailblazers of the entire MCU franchise. Chadwick Boseman's portrayal of King T'Challa (Black Panther) broke boundaries for the Black community and created a character that will forever be engraved in all of our minds as a pillar of strength and power. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will star Letitia Wright who plays King T'Challa's sister Shuri. Many fans however have expressed outrage over Wright's refusal to get vaccinated when the pandemic hit, calling for Marvel to completely recast her character. Despite the controversy, however, Wright will star in the second installment of the Black Panther franchise releasing on November 11.

The Guardian of the Galaxy Holiday Special — December 2022

If Marvel were to put together a holiday special staring any of their heroes, it would 100% be the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians have one of the most anticipated storylines in the future of the MCU and since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn't come out until 2023, why not tease the fanbase a little with a holiday TV special? If you are a fan of the Guardians movies and Thor: Ragnarok, the mastermind, and director James Gunn will also be directing The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which aptly releases in December.

What If…? Season 2 — TBD 2022

What If...? is an original, animated TV series that is streamed exclusively on Disney+. This release by Marvel came at the perfect time when fans were constantly putting out theories and "what if" scenarios to predict the futures of their favorite heroes. Also, with the introduction of the multiverse, people were quick to check out this animated series. From Captain Carter as the First Avenger to King T'Challa as Starlord, this show is one hell of a ride every episode. Per Collider, the next season of What If...? is anticipating a release sometime this year.

Secret Invasion — TBD 2022

Marvel is not lying low when it comes to making new projects. They plan on releasing yet another miniseries sometime this year called Secret Invasion. This series will be playing off of the Skrulls who played a huge part in Captain Marvel. Here, the Skrulls will be leading a massive invasion of Earth, impersonating our favorite heroes. If you want to get hyped up for Secret Invasion, Samuel L. Jackson will continue playing Nick Fury, starring alongside Emilia Clarke, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Ben Mendelsohn, and Olivia Colman.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania — February 17, 2023

Marvel is meticulous in the projects they release, having a timeline set up months and even years in advance. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is projecting a release on February 17, 2023. There are not that many details on this project just yet, but know that Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne will go head-to-head with Kang the Conquerer, a frequent nemesis to both the Avengers and The Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Kang the Conquerer, played by Jonathan Majors, was introduced in the Disney+ hit series Loki.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — May 5, 2023

Can't get enough of Starlord, Rocket, Drax, Mantis, Groot, and Gamora? The phenomenal ensemble known as the Guardians of the Galaxy will make their return in 2023 in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Some detail about what could happen in this movie will likely be revealed with after their appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder. Of course, the plot line surrounding Gamora and her whereabouts is going to be huge for this group. The movie will also be directed by James Gunn.

The Marvels — July 28, 2023

Captain Marvel is by far one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU. However, as we approach her turn for a sequel, it is only right to have her storyline grow even beyond herself as a character. The Marvels, also coined to be the sequel to Captain Marvel, will be released on July 28, 2023. Expect some extraordinary power with likes of Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Monica Rambeau, and of course, Nick Fury as you await this release.

Echo — TBD 2023

Disney+ is going to be STACKED in the next year. Maya Lopez is a deaf martial artist that was introduced in the series Hawkeye. Set to have her own show in 2023, Maya Lopez/Echo (Alaqua Cox) will finally have her own origin story as she navigates the struggles in her hometown. If you want to see Echo in action, make sure you check out the Hawkeye show if you haven't already.

Fantastic Four — TBD

Unknown territory is officially Marvel's last name! The MCU has a lot of pending projects that are official but are pretty much in the early stages of being made. Fans of the MCU have been calling for a remake of The Fantastic Four, and it looks like our prayers will be answered. It is widely known that Chris Evans, best known as our Captain America, played the Human Torch in the 2005 film Fantastic Four as well as the sequel Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. We don't know too much about what to expect, but fans are sure to cue for the nostalgic factor alone seeing these classic heroes on the screen once again.

Agatha: House of Harkness – TBD

Marvel had a massive hit when they released the Disney+ series WandaVision. This unique show revealed the true scope of Wanda's powers as well as further her incredibly heartbreaking storyline. In addition to what the show revealed about the Scarlet Witch, WandaVision introduced one of the most charismatic and threatening villains in the MCU. Agatha Harkness was a masterfully crafted villain that Marvel is now using to star in her own series, Agatha: House of Harkness. It is definitely worth it to keep an eye open for more details on this series.

Armor Wars — TBD

If you are a fan of the Marvel Comics, this one is sure to pique your interest. Armor Wars is going to be a TV series by Marvel that is meant to follow the storyline of the Marvel comic of the same name. In the comic titled Armor Wars, Tony Stark comes face to face with the dilemma of his own Iron Man technology falling in the hands of those he wants to fight against. Rhodey is also expected to make an appearance. What Marvel chooses to do with this source material is not clear, but we are excited either way.

Ironheart — TBD

The Ironheart storyline is definitely one that will impress. Iron Man as a hero and character in the MCU has inspired generations of young heroes and heroes to come. This upcoming Disney+ show explores the growth of Riri Williams, a young, Black genius who develops technology that is inspired by Tony Stark's Iron Man. Details on this show are not really there right now, so looking to the comics and the source material is our best bet as we wait.

Untitled Wakanda Series – TBD

Black Panther is easily one of the most popular heroes in the MCU, and we all love every MCU scene in the fictional African nation Wakanda. So, of course Marvel will make a series about it. Except for Black Panther director Ryan Coogler's involvement in the show, nothing else about this series, its plot, or characters is set in stone, but, honestly, we are still excited for whatever is to come.
