Megan Gale confirmed for us here that she had been cast as Wonder Woman in George Miller's Justice League of America. She has now told the Sydney Morning Herald that as excited as she is about the film, she was grateful for the film's delay.

"We were due to go into production in February, which freaked me out a bit ... the strike has given me more time to prepare," Gale said.

Gale is most known for her status as a supermodel, and she will be taking her last turn down the Sydney Catwalk on Tuesday, February 12. Although she claims to have mixed emotions about ending her career as a model to focus on acting, Gale says that she is intensely focused on Wonder Woman, with an extensive schedule with acting coaches and fitness coaches to prepare her for the role.

Justice League of America brings DC Comic's greatest heroes together for the first time on the big screen. Superman, Batman, the Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter will all band together to save the Earth. Justice League of America is tentatively scheduled for a 2010 release.
