Mel Brooks has made a deal with MGM to bring Spaceballs to TV in Spaceballs: The Animated Series.

G4 will air 13 half-hour episodes starting in the fall 2007, says The Hollywood Reporter. The animated series will follow the same storyline as the original film, spoofing well-known science-fiction movies; however it will also parody current blockbusters as well as every genre of entertainment from movies and reality TV to culture and politics.
